I have just shared some more ovens that you guys have made, lots of of inspiration here - http://www.simplenick.com/your-ovens.html And special thanks to all those that agreed to let me share.
Just had to share this video of Andy making his pizza oven. This is my type of video and I learnt lots, only wish I had seen this before building mine. So what were the key things I pulled out of the video?
So in the order they appear in the video:
You will also notice the tandoor at the end of his build, and you can find picture of this on my site as well.
I hope you all find this video as informative as I have, and thanks Andy for bring this to my attention.
After 2 1/2 years a small chunk on the bottom of the Tandoor has broken off. No need to panic I have cut a piece from a throwaway BBQ and put that on top. Job done and I carry on cooking using my Tandoor. Or I could have spent £3 and buy a new replacement pot.
Even when you are not using the pizza oven, it brings pleasure to you as it looks good in the garden.
Look we all like comfort food, and chips are a particular favourite of mine, and nothing beats fresh hot chips eaten at the chippie or on the sea front. The trouble is you then feel guilty about how unhealthy they are. Well this video is for you as I help to ease your conscience and make low fat chips like you get at the chippie.
Think about it how is this different to a jacket potato? You have just taken the same potato and spray it with 20 cals or less. Trust me this are fantastic eaten straight out of the oven with salt and vinegar. Also you don't have to use a Tandoor, you could easily cook these on a tray in your oven.
Now I have already made a video on lighting the Tandoor, but I had a lot of people complaining about be using BBQ lighter gel as they concerned about the chemicals. Well I have changed the way I light the Tandoor, and I am really pleased with this method. So in this video I show you how to light the Tandoor using Doritos, home made fire lighters and a charcoal starter.
Summer must be here as I am getting lots of questions on the Pizza oven with several people asking me to review mine. Well here you are:
Well what can I say?
